Lindsey's pursuit of education and her role as a single mother have become her top priorities amid unstable employment. She entered the foster care system at around 15 years old, spending time in various group homes. Growing up, Lindsey was thrust into independence with little guidance from her parents, having only met her father once and lacking any meaningful connection with her mother. To survive, she resorted to stealing clothes, making her own way to school, and providing for her own meals. Lindsey eventually entered care after getting into trouble at school and confiding in a counselor about her struggles.

Lindsey and her two children have been homeless and couch-surfing since October. She has recently been approved for a housing voucher, which will allow her to move into a new apartment with her children. Lindsey is seeking assistance to purchase a full-length mirror. This mirror will not only serve as a decorative piece but also be a practical addition for getting ready each morning.
