Latreese is a special girl with a big heart. She has worked hard to take care of her younger sister despite the chaos they experienced in their biological home. They were removed from their parents due to abuse, neglect, and domestic violence and were initially placed with their grandmother. However, after a few months, they had to leave that home as well because they were being exposed to unsafe individuals. Latreese is currently adjusting to her foster home but has become quiet and withdrawn. She is worried about her sister and concerned for her parents since she cannot see them at this time. Latreese loves to draw and is fond of animals. She is tentatively excited to try some new activities.

Latreese is having difficulty opening up and feeling comfortable in her new home. Her foster mom is eager to help her feel safe and loved, and she would like to spend a one-on-one day with Latreese shopping for new spring clothes. Latreese came into care without many personal belongings, so this outing would be a special opportunity for them to bond and choose items that allow Latreese to express herself.
