Jacob is an amazing young man who is currently placed in an Independent Living Home. Jacob wants to join the Military once he graduates from high school. He has not allowed his current circumstance to stop his desire to graduate high school and join the Army. Jacob loves to fish and play soccer. He has a part-time job at the local McDonald's. Jacob does not want to be adopted and wants to become independent and live alone.

Jacob has decided that he wants to attend his senior prom. He recently purchased a suit and is now in need of a pair of shoes to match. Jacob has chosen to wear tennis shoes and has found the perfect pair that will complement his new suit. Jacob has worked extremely hard to graduate. He fell behind a grade due to constant relocations before coming into foster care. After graduating high school, Jacob plans to join the Army. Receiving support to attend prom can provide Jacob with opportunities to experience normalcy and build social connections, which may improve his well-being and outcomes.
