Sarah has experienced many difficult times. When her mother passed away, her life changed forever. She wished a family member would take care of her, but no one did. Instead, she went into foster care, moving from home to home and carrying her sadness with her. Every time she packed her things, it felt as though she were losing a piece of herself. During this difficult time, she found poetry. What started as little notes became her safe space. Writing allowed her to express her feelings when she felt ignored. Her poems are sincere and filled with pain, hope, and longing. Sarah dreams of publishing a book to share her story and give a voice to others who feel lost. Through her writing, she is learning that beauty can come even from deep pain.

Sarah is asking for a gift card to Ulta to purchase new makeup, which will bring her comfort and confidence. Makeup allows her to express herself and feel in control during tough times. It helps her look and feel put together, and she enjoys experimenting with different colors and styles. Choosing makeup for herself in the store would mean a lot to her.
