Dasia was adopted at 3 months by a family member. She has had some issues related to behavior and experienced a failed adoption after 17 years. Dasia has recently secured a new apartment and is living independently. She is a motivated and hardworking young lady who wishes to do better for herself. Dasia enjoys reading and writing in her journals of her journey since she became a ward of the state.

Dasia is a single mother raising her 1-year-old daughter, who attends daycare. She has limited support but is determined to create a better future for herself and her child. Currently, Dasia is enrolled in a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program. She lives in her own apartment and has a chair, but needs a stand for it. Dasia wants to use the chair for meditation as a coping mechanism.
