Destiny is a smart young lady who was placed in foster care after being discharged from acute care. Destiny has had many challenges in her life but has not allowed those challenges to stop her from smiling and showing love. Destiny has come a long way and continues to get better each day. She wants to be a teacher one day to help other young people who struggle with learning. Destiny loves to color and paint. She loves to listen to music and walk on the beach picking seashells.

Destiny is set to graduate from high school in June after working extremely hard to catch up on her grades. She faced significant challenges, including extended absences due to hospitalization, which affected her academic progress. Additionally, she struggled with her placement within the school system, leading to feelings of unhappiness and even suicidal thoughts. However, Destiny's situation improved when she was moved to live with her Great Aunt and Uncle in a kinship placement. This change has had a positive impact on her well-being, and she now feels happy and content being with her blood relatives. As graduation approaches, Destiny has expressed a desire for a new pair of shoes for this important day. Her family, which is quite large, would greatly appreciate any financial support they can receive to help purchase the shoes she wants. These new shoes hold significant importance for Destiny, as they represent more than just footwear; they serve to boost her confidence, improve her self-esteem, and enhance her ability to participate fully in school and extracurricular activities.
