Luke has recently aged out of foster care and is navigating the challenges of independence. He’s excited to have secured a part-time job at a local farm, where he cares for and feeds the animals. This job not only allows him to save some money—something he has never had before—but also gives him a sense of purpose and fulfillment. However, he is in need of a couple of pairs of waterproof work pants to make the most out of his new role. Having these pants would greatly enhance his work experience and help solidify his newfound independence, making it feel like a dream come true for him.
Luke is 18 years old and lives in MO
Luke is an outgoing charismatic teenager that likes to be outdoors when he can. His favorite colors are black and white. He likes basketball and football, but basketball is his favorite. He does not have a favorite team he says he likes them all. He likes playing outside and riding his bike, but he wants to be cool like some of his close friends. He wants to take horseback riding lessons someday. He has a digestive condition that causes him to gain weight and he is working with a dietician, therapist and nutritionist to help him lose weight and maintain his health. He is a great kid and a great friend.
