She has faced many challenges in her life, including a lack of stability in her housing situation and ongoing health issues. As a result, her academic progress has been hindered since a very young age. Despite these obstacles, Amanda maintains a positive outlook and remains hopeful for a brighter future. Amanda has a significant history with the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P) and has experienced multiple out-of-home placements. Recently, she and her two sisters were reunited after the loss of their mother last year.
Amanda needs a mattress protector to maintain a clean and comfortable sleeping environment. She often shares her space with her younger sibling, who visits and stays overnight regularly. During a recent visit, Amanda's younger sister had an accident while sleeping. Unfortunately, Amanda did not have a protective cover, which made it very difficult for them to get a good night's sleep.
