Al is studying diesel engine technologies at JobCorps. He loves learning about machines and working with his hands. Al entered the foster care system at 16 years old and has since aged out. He transitioned straight from a group home to JobCorps. Al has developed a passion for anime and manga; he enjoys spending his free time reading manga and working out.

Al loves his Job Corps program, but isn't able to have a part-time job because of the demands of his program. He also doesn't have family who can send him extra money for food. He would love to be able to purchase food items from the grocery store to supplement the cafeteria food at Job Corps.
