Julie is an amazingly bright young lady with a deep thirst for knowledge. She came into foster care when she was just 7 years old. Her neighbors were concerned about her appearance and the bruising they would see on her. Even though Julie moved around to a few resource homes, she always kept a positive outlook on things. She knew she would be ok if she just remained hopeful and concentrated on her education. She is now in her forever home. Her resource parents have not decided to adopt her because of her age, but they have made it clear that she is welcome for as long as she wishes. She is stable there and incredibly happy with the little life she is building.

Julie has just been admitted to her university of choice! She plans to pursue a degree in social work or possibly nursing. She is thrilled to begin this next chapter of her life in the fall. Julie would really love a new pair of sweatpants featuring the MSU logo, as they would be a wonderful and affirming piece of clothing to wear to class or while doing homework. We are all so proud of her!
