Preferred Behavioral Health GroupChanel is a youth in the LifeSet program, a program that helps young adults in foster care meet their independent living goals. Chanel has grown so much since joining the program in March 2024. Chanel graduated from high school, enrolled in community college, secured independent living, learned how to manage her emotions, and focused on increasing her financial literacy. Chanel is headstrong and fiercely independent, being resourceful to manage her everyday needs. She will always try to do something new by herself but knows when it is time to reach out and ask for help or advice when she is unsure of what the next best steps are. Chanel wishes to pursue a career in the medical field, specifically as an Ultrasound Technician. Chanel plans to complete her educational goals while working full time in order to afford her free time hobbies, such as shopping and dressing up to go out to eat with friends.
With Chanel now living independently, she's excited to make her first apartment truly her own. One of the things she's hoping to add is a television, which would make her space feel even more personal and comfortable. She will be able to enjoy her favorite shows and have a relaxing evening after a long day.
