Just days before turning 16, Ja’Myiah entered foster care, which turned her life upside down. She felt abandoned and uncertain as she adjusted to this big change. Her first night away was especially hard, but marked a turning point for her. Despite the challenges, Ja’Myiah found strength and resilience, using her time in care to reflect and prepare for the future. She eventually moved into her own apartment and started college, pursuing a degree in psychology to become a psychiatrist and help others facing difficulties. Ja’Myiah is proud of her journey, which shows that anyone can shape their own future no matter their starting point.

Ja’Myiah wishes for a pair of New Balance sneakers. She’s had her eye on them for a while and really loves the look and feel of the shoe. As a college student who’s often on the go, getting to class, managing daily tasks, and adjusting to life on her own, she would love to have a reliable pair of comfortable and stylish sneakers.
