With an associate’s degree in social work under her belt, she’s excited about the next step—transferring to a university to earn her bachelor’s degree. Life hasn't always been easy for her, especially after aging out of foster care, but she’s tackled those challenges head-on. She takes care of herself and her little sister, who has special needs, and you can see her love for them in everything she does. When she needs a break, Marilyn finds joy in simple pleasures like going for a run, painting, or curling up with a great book. Amidst all the ups and downs, she keeps a positive outlook and embraces life with a smile.
Marilyn lovingly cares for her little sister, who has special needs. Despite their challenging financial situation, her spirit remains strong as she strives to meet their basic needs. They only have two pans to cook with, but Marilyn dreams of owning a beautiful 16-piece cookware set. With it, she would be able to prepare delicious meals and teach her sister the joys of cooking. Both sisters are excited and can't wait to create precious bonding memories in the kitchen!
