Marilyn is a lively young woman who's really passionate about making a difference. With an associate’s degree in social work under her belt, she’s excited about the next step—transferring to a university to earn her bachelor’s degree. Life hasn't always been easy for her, especially after aging out of foster care, but she’s tackled those challenges head-on. She takes care of herself and her little sister, who has special needs, and you can see her love for them in everything she does. When she needs a break, Marilyn finds joy in simple pleasures like going for a run, painting, or curling up with a great book. Amidst all the ups and downs, she keeps a positive outlook and embraces life with a smile.

Marilyn is truly a wonderful sister. She takes great care of her younger sibling while also shouldering the responsibilities of being the main provider for their household. Lately, though, she's come to see that her commitment to helping others often leaves little room for her own well-being. She would really appreciate having a curling iron to help her feel better about herself, boost her motivation, and encourage some much-needed self-love.
