Layla has her heart set on a pair of gold hoop earrings for her birthday. She has never owned much jewelry. For weeks, Layla has been talking about these earrings, flipping through magazines, and pointing out the exact style she wants. She would love a touch of luxury as a reminder that she deserves nice things, too.
