Despite these challenges, she remains a ray of sunshine, and her upbeat personality is truly contagious. Alyiah loves to chat and is open about everything she has been through and continues to face. She enjoys crafts, games, playing with animals, and talking on the phone with her friends from school.
Alyiah struggles with anxiety, and one of her most preferred coping mechanisms is to get under a pile of covers in her bed. She would love a weighted blanket to be able to get that compression and reduce her feelings of anxiety, so that she is able to cope better. This would mean so much to Alyiah, and this blanket even has her favorite animal on it: a llama!
