Layla enjoys arts and crafts, making jewelry, and playing sports. She has been in foster care for a few years and is currently living with her cousin. Layla has faced a difficult childhood and has never had the opportunity to participate in school activities, sports, or summer camps until she started living with her cousin. Since her placement, Layla has joined the school soccer team, taken gymnastics classes, and attended YMCA day camps during the summer.

Attending a Summer Program would benefit her in many ways. Although she has participated in summer camps in the past, none have been programs she specifically wanted to attend. She previously attended one program at this camp, which nurtured her faith and helped her build meaningful relationships that continue to this day. This opportunity is particularly special for Layla, especially since she has expressed a desire to attend this camp.
