In addition to being a full-time student, Ruby works part-time at an after-school program, where she mentors younger kids. Her job has provided her with valuable experience and a stronger connection to her community. As a young adult in the foster care system, Ruby makes the most of the support around her and is dedicated to creating a stable, self-sufficient future.

Ruby needs a portable air conditioner for her hot room, especially during summer. The extreme heat makes it difficult for her to concentrate on her studies and get a good night's sleep, both of which are essential for her success and well-being. A portable AC unit would help her stay focused, sleep better, and create a healthier living space while she works toward her goals.
