Mateo has a big personality and heart to match. He has big dreams for himself of becoming an astronaut (or a wrestler). Mateo has been in and out of foster care for the majority of his life, but lives with his uncle who is very supportive of his dreams and a great mentor. Mateo does hope to one day reunite with his mother.

Mateo and his brother are set to be adopted by their foster family, with whom they have lived for nearly three years, this summer! Throughout the years, Mateo has cherished family outings such as trips to the beach, swimming lessons, and adventures at the water park. He would love to share water play with his family in his favorite place, which will soon be their "forever" play space: his own backyard!
