Mia is a gentle and kind young woman who loves making others feel welcome. She possesses a strong, quiet spirit that has helped her navigate every challenge since aging out of foster care. Mia enjoys making jewelry and spending time with friends. She lost her mother when she was 6 years old which is how she ended up in the foster care system. She is now a mother herself, and she is filled with excitement about giving her daughter the life she wasn’t able to have while growing up.

Mia graduated with her associate's degree from Wake Tech and has enrolled at NC Central for the fall semester to pursue her bachelor's degree. She needs a new Chromebook for school, as the one she used at Wake Tech was borrowed from the school and had to be returned at graduation. Mia is the first person in her family to graduate high school, and now that she has completed community college, she is continuing her education for a four-year degree. She is a single mom, balancing work, school, and raising her three-year-old daughter. This computer will help her achieve her goal of graduating!
