Gabriel sometimes feels overshadowed by his high-needs brother, leading to feelings of isolation. However, those who truly see him recognize his kindness, respect for others, and helpful nature. Outside of these challenges, Gabriel finds joy on his bike, where he can think freely, and enjoys watching Wrestlemania, playing video games, and participating in sports. He also takes pride in making legendary scrambled eggs for his family. While he may not have all the answers yet, Gabriel continues to move forward, uncovering his strength and worth as he goes. Gabriel receives support from Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association.

Gabriel is really eager to attend a basketball camp. It’s not just about having fun; he’s genuinely committed to improving his skills, especially since he’s heading into grade levels where school teams become more competitive. Going to basketball camp would mean so much. At home, his brother, who has high needs, naturally receives a lot of the attention, and while Gabriel handles this situation with so much patience and maturity, he sometimes feels a bit overshadowed. It’s important for him to have experiences that are just for him, where his talents and passions take the spotlight. Attending basketball camp would not only demonstrate to him that his aspirations matter, but it would also provide him with the opportunity to build confidence, be part of a team, and start carving out his own identity based on what he loves to do. It’s a way for him to realize he’s not invisible; he’s seen, valued, and entirely capable of reaching great things when given the right opportunities.
