MO DSS Children's Division - Cass CountyReese is a quiet, reserved, and gentle older youth who has been in the care and custody of the MO Children's Division since July 2021. Reese is currently pregnant and expecting a baby in Sep 2025. Reese's case goal is APPLA (Another Planned Permanency Living Arrangement) geared toward independent living and as such she will remain in care until she is 21 or decides to exit care. Reese Graduated from High School in May 2024 and since then she has been living in a transitional older youth apartment program through Cornerstones of Care and working part time. Reese is in the process of getting her license, finding full time work, and exploring options for college. Outside of Children's Division she has a very small support system, as neither her family nor the father of her baby are supporting her in any way at this time. In her free time, Reese enjoys music, video games, and light reading.
Reese is currently living in a transitional apartment program in Kansas City and is working on achieving independence in her daily life and job. She works part-time and has very limited family support, which results in restricted financial resources, making it challenging to afford some of the more expensive items needed to care for a newborn. One such item is a baby changing table, which is not only essential for changing diapers but also provides lumbar support for new mothers. Any assistance in acquiring this item would be greatly appreciated.
