A water bottle for Jamme to stay hydrated over the summer

Jamme, 20 years old | 25 DAYS WAITING

Kutztown University of Pennsylvania

Jamme is one of eight children and has experienced foster care, moving between at least ten different foster homes and just as many schools. When she turned 18, she was adopted but was soon asked to leave her adoptive home. Recently, Jamme learned that she has Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), a medical condition that causes frequent seizures and episodes of fainting. Despite these challenges, Jamme is a resilient young woman who is determined to thrive independently in college. Her interests include listening to all genres of music, engaging in arts and crafts, working out, and participating in various outdoor activities.

Jamme is wishing for a new water bottle to replace her favorite one that was recently lost on vacation. This specific bottle has been especially helpful in keeping her hydrated as she walks everywhere on campus, since she’s unable to drive due to medical conditions. What makes this water bottle meaningful to Jamme is that it can be fully taken apart and cleaned—something she’s always struggled with when it comes to staying hydrated and maintaining her bottles. Having this replacement would support both her health and daily routine in a simple but truly impactful way.
