Mercedy has faced significant struggles in her life. She was removed from her parents for the first time at the age of 4 and again at 8 due to abuse and neglect. Throughout her experiences, she has often taken care of her siblings and stepped into the role of a parent. She has been moved around frequently. Despite these challenges, she remains happy and positive. Recently, she moved into her adoptive home with her sister and is excited about the future. Mercedy loves to eat fruit, and her favorite is apples; she believes they are the best fruit. She enjoys drawing and painting apples and flowers, and she loves music. Her favorite color is green, and she enjoys dancing. Mercedy also likes going to concerts and playing with kids her own age.

Mercedy loves to draw, paint, and color because it helps reduce her anxiety. Although she is finally in her adoptive home, she often worries about her future and fears that her new family might reject her. To help ease her mind and remind herself that she is cared for, she turns to her art. Drawing allows her to embrace her dreams and find peace amidst her worries.
