Artejah has been in foster care for several years. She lost her mother when she was fifteen, and her father has frequently been in and out of jail, as well as her life. Recently, after four years, Artejah's legal guardian rescinded guardianship, leading her to reenter extended foster care. Artejah is looking forward to attending college.

Artejah recently graduated from high school and has started her first job. She has also discovered that she is going to be a mother. To help alleviate her back pain and ensure she can walk and work comfortably, Artejah needs comfortable shoes for walking.
