Kamariyah is an ambitious young woman who dedicates her life to school, sports, and volunteering at recreational centers. She has big dreams and the motivation and determination to achieve them. After turning 18, Kamariyah has become more open to seeking assistance from foster care programs, knowing that most of these programs will end when she turns 21.

Kamariyah has been saving up to buy an iPad, which has made it easier for her to take notes and use public transport instead of carrying around a heavy laptop. But now that she has the iPad, she realizes she can't afford a case to protect it, and she's worried it might break on her way to school. Since turning 18, she has become more confident in asking for help, especially with her Guardian encouraging her to be independent. Giving her a case would really ease her worries and help her get off to a good start for her summer classes, showing her that it’s okay to ask for support.
