Grace is an ambitious teen who has been in foster care, navigating multiple placements while continuing to show up for herself in school and in life. Despite the instability of her circumstances, Grace remains focused on her dream of becoming a pediatric nurse, a goal fueled by her own experiences of feeling unseen in the system and her desire to care for others. Like many teens in care, she’s experienced her share of setbacks, but she continues to push forward with courage and maturity well beyond her years. What makes Grace special is her heart: she’s nurturing, intuitive, and constantly thinking of ways to make others feel safe.

Grace is asking for a laptop because she is preparing to graduate from high school and start her college journey. She plans to enroll in a health science program, but does not have a laptop of her own to complete assignments, apply for colleges and scholarships, or study for exams. Having her own laptop would help her stay on track with schoolwork, explore future opportunities, and feel more confident and independent. She has worked hard to get to where she is, and this laptop would be a big step toward the life she is building for herself after foster care.
