Quality shoes for Ellie to wear on walks while she recovers from surgery
Ellie, 14 years old, PA
Wish submitted by:
Fostering Hope - BucksEllie entered foster care because of her family's substance abuse problems. Although she missed living with her mom, her foster home has been a positive change. She now gets to enjoy being a kid and participate in activities she didn’t have the chance to do before. While there, Ellie has also focused on her health and discovered some medical concerns, and she is facing these challenges with determination and is working towards becoming stronger and healthier.
Ellie is currently allowed to engage in one main activity after her surgery: walking around the neighborhood. However, she doesn't have a suitable pair of sneakers for this purpose. Since walking will be her primary form of exercise and outings for a while, she would really appreciate a good pair of sneakers. These New Balance shoes are perfect! They provide the support she needs and come in black so they won’t show dirt! Having a new pair of sneakers will motivate Ellie to get out and enjoy her walks more quickly!
