Samuel is a resilient young man who aged out of foster care after experiencing years of instability, neglect, and unsuccessful reunifications with his biological mother. He lost his father at a young age, and he misses him dearly. Samuel grew up in a severely unclean and isolating home, which led to significant developmental delays. Throughout these challenges, his strongest bond has been with his younger sister, who has shared similar experiences. They've only had each other to rely on. Samuel is working hard to overcome his past and build a stable future. He is learning to use his voice and advocate for himself while pursuing his high school equivalency diploma. Additionally, Samuel enjoys playing video games, especially on his Nintendo Switch, and he has a passion for building complex Lego sets and model kits.

Samuel is diligently working towards obtaining his high school equivalency through an online program. To make progress, he commutes by bus to the city library, where he can access a public computer. This journey takes him an hour as he travels across town. Having a laptop would be a tremendous help for Samuel, allowing him to save both time and energy while furthering his education.
