City Living NYShavon, a former foster youth, embodies tenacity and determination. As a motivated young woman, she is diligently pursuing her college degree. Recently, she celebrated a personal milestone by moving into her own apartment, where she happily resides with her adorable puppy. In addition to her studies and new home, Shavon is also in the process of adopting one of her nephews, ensuring that he stays out of foster care. This is truly an exciting and transformative time in her life!
Shavon has been caring for a relative’s child since birth and is now in the process of adopting them. With limited childcare support, she has had to cut back her work hours, allocating most of her income toward the child and basic household needs. As a result, Shavon hasn’t been able to afford new clothes, and much of what she owns no longer fits. She’s simply asking for a chance to get a few new items—just something to help her feel like herself again. This is wish 2 of 2.
