Deacon has been placed with his paternal grandparents. He has overcome many challenges related to education, social skills, and everyday life skills. Motivated to continue this progress, Deacon engages in show choir and theater at his high school. Although he is aging out of the system, he has worked hard to secure housing, save for a car, and identify resources to prepare for independent living with his brother.

Deacon loves performing arts, especially show choir. It’s where he feels happy, confident, and truly accepted. His wish is to get help with the costs of his passion, like choir fees, costumes, and travel expenses. For Deacon, it’s not just about singing and dancing; it’s about having a place where he feels noticed and free to be himself. This will support his love for the arts and also allow him to save for his future as he gets ready to leave foster care. This support can help Deacon face the next chapter of his life with hope and the belief that his dreams are worth pursuing.
