Shaman spent six years navigating the foster care system, encountering numerous challenges when it came to inclusivity and support. Despite these obstacles, he remained dedicated to living life to the fullest and maintaining a positive outlook. He found solace and stability in sports, forged strong friendships, and treasured time spent outdoors. Shaman takes immense pride in his resilience and determination, and he aspires to give back to the community, particularly to other foster youth. In the near future, Shaman envisions himself running a business he is passionate about, living independently, and continuing the activities that bring him joy and fulfillment.

SD is still recovering from the traumatic impacts of the Los Angeles wildfires, which unfortunately destroyed his laptop. As he works towards saving enough money to buy a new one, he is currently hoping to get a tablet. With a tablet, SD can manage his school and work activities while staying connected to his friends and family during this challenging time. He is also focused on keeping up with his assignments and participating in online classes, as he doesn’t want to fall behind.
