Therapeutic Interagency ProgramCharlotte was removed from her home because her parents were cognitively impaired and unable to care for her. Although she missed a lot of early childhood medical care due to their limitations, she was never lacking in love. Now, she is in a new home where she is catching up on developmental milestones and will soon be adopted along with several other children in the household. However, she is struggling to adjust to new expectations and standards. Charlotte loves being rocked and read to, and she enjoys trying new foods. She also delights in taking long walks in the park and going on trips to the zoo to see all the fascinating animals.
Charlotte is starting at a new day treatment school program to help with her developmental and mental health needs that are a result of her early childhood neglect. She is struggling to adjust to her new home, which will hopefully be adoptive, and it will be good for her to have a routine and support around her. She will love having a new backpack to carry with her on her new adventures!
