A baby doll for Charlotte who is in attachment therapy with her new adoptive parents

Charlotte, 3 years old, OH

Therapeutic Interagency Program

Charlotte was removed from her home because her parents were cognitively impaired and unable to care for her. Although she missed a lot of early childhood medical care due to their limitations, she was never lacking in love. Now, she is in a new home where she is catching up on developmental milestones and will soon be adopted along with several other children in the household. However, she is struggling to adjust to new expectations and standards. Charlotte loves being rocked and read to, and she enjoys trying new foods. She also delights in taking long walks in the park and going on trips to the zoo to see all the fascinating animals.

Charlotte is currently in therapy to address her attachment issues with her new adoptive parents. As part of her healing journey, her therapist recommended that she use a baby doll to practice nurturing. This particular baby doll will be perfect for her, as it comes with a variety of accessories, enabling her to feed it and put it to bed. Engaging with the doll will provide Charlotte with a supportive way to explore her feelings and develop her sense of care.
