Instead, she went into foster care, moving from home to home and carrying her sadness with her. Every time she packed her things, it felt as though she were losing a piece of herself. During this difficult time, she found poetry. What started as little notes became her safe space. Writing allowed her to express her feelings when she felt ignored. Her poems are sincere and filled with pain, hope, and longing. Sarah dreams of publishing a book to share her story and give a voice to others who feel lost. Through her writing, she is learning that beauty can come even from deep pain.
