Mariah is an incredible young woman who has overcome numerous obstacles, beginning with her journey in foster care and culminating in her aging out of the system at age 19. She currently lives with a roommate, and life has settled into a steady rhythm. Mariah enjoys doing hair and makeup for her friends. She attended cosmetology school and hopes to open her own salon one day!

Mariah is an aspiring young beautician currently studying cosmetology. She dreams of having a salon station at home, which would enable her to give her friends and family haircuts and color right from the comfort of her own space. This setup will allow her to hone her skills and perfect her craft. Mariah’s dream of owning her own salon is achievable, as she is hardworking and driven. This is an important first step in preparing her for her future.
