Julie is a bright and courageous young lady. As a foster youth, she has faced many obstacles but continues to focus on her education and her passions. She loves reading about mysteries and adventures, making friends, and pushing herself academically.

Julie is starting a new middle school in a couple of weeks, and she feels both excited and a little nervous. The school is three miles away, and since there are no buses, she will have to walk a long way, especially in the early morning. Julie really wants a good bike to help her get to school on time every day. Having a bike would make her ride easier and more fun, allowing her to focus on school and enjoy all the new experiences that come with being in middle school.
