Rae has endured a profoundly difficult life journey. After several transitions, she was finally placed in a family home where she is now thriving. She has her own room, which she’s proudly decorated, and is part of a large and loving family of eight. At school, she discovered a passion for pottery and has created beautiful, expressive pieces. She also enjoys crocheting, sewing, and reading. Looking toward her future, she plans to attend cosmetology school while continuing to create pottery as a personal and artistic outlet.

For Rae, pottery is so much more than a hobby; it’s a vital part of her life that helps her express her feelings and find calm amid the chaos. After enduring trauma and loss, she discovered that working with clay was instrumental in her healing process. The very first time she touched that cool, soft clay in art class, she felt something shift within her.
