Kya is a bright ball of energy who never stops going. She will brighten your day regardless of what is going on in her life. Kya loves to interact with peers and makes friends through shared interests in music and video games. Kya is growing up to be an intelligent and responsible young lady and is excelling in all areas of her life while in foster care.

Kya has been looking forward to her 13th birthday and is counting down the days until she can have a birthday party at Scene 75 to celebrate! Unfortunately, Kya recently had to change foster homes unexpectedly and now the plans for her party at Scene 75 have fallen through. Kya is already experiencing a very difficult time due to the move and it's even worse that she now can't have the party that she has been waiting all summer for. This would have been not only her first birthday party since being in foster care, but her first real birthday party in her entire life. Kya has always struggled to make and keep friends but after starting at a new school this past year she was able to make some close friends that she had already invited to her party before her life was turned upside down. Kya's friends have been a huge support to her during this rough time that she is going through and being able to spend time with them on her birthday would be so special for Kya. Kya feels really abandoned and hopeless right now, and being able to have this party- on her actual birthday!- will not only remind her how special she is and that her wishes matter, but it will show her that she still has people in her corner who are rooting for her and trying to support her in every way that they can.
