Cara is a resilient young woman who aged out of foster care at 18. Despite experiencing homelessness, she has fought for custody of her brother and is currently working as a waitress while studying to become a registered nurse. After the tragic loss of her sister in a car accident last year, Cara dreams of starting a program in South Carolina to support foster youth. An artist and aspiring author, she is writing a book about her journey to achieve her goals and give back to others.

Cara entered foster care as a child and has overcome countless obstacles to build a more stable life for herself. Now, as she prepares for the upcoming school semester, she’s in need of basic supplies to help her stay organized and focused. An Amazon gift card would allow her to purchase essential school materials like notebooks, pens, and folders, items many of us take for granted.
