Brooklyn lost her parents a few years ago and is now in the care of the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCPP), living with a resource family with whom she has a close relationship. She also has a sister in a nearby foster home, allowing them to spend time together. As a motivated and kind young lady entering her senior year of high school, Brooklyn is excited about college and hopes to follow her sister's path by earning a degree in Education from Rowan University to teach preschool. In her free time, Brooklyn plays the xylophone in her high school marching band, enjoys recreational tennis, is interested in dirt biking, and loves swimming and going to carnivals in the summer.

Brooklyn is a motivated and kind-hearted young woman entering her senior year of high school. Having her own laptop would make a big difference for her, as it would allow her to work on assignments both at school and at home. As she prepares to apply for college to pursue a degree in Education, a laptop is essential for completing applications and will be necessary for her future coursework. Currently, Brooklyn uses her phone to access the internet and relies on her parents’ computer for school work, but having her own laptop would give her more freedom and access to complete her assignments and apply for college and financial aid. Having a laptop would not only aid her studies but also boost her confidence as she takes on more responsibilities as an adult. Brooklyn truly values what she has and would be incredibly grateful to receive this gift, knowing how essential it is for her future success.
