Adara is a quiet, resourceful young lady who is the third child of six. She has spent years looking up to her older siblings, who guided her through many adversities, including homelessness, parental neglect, and household domestic violence. She has lived in upwards of five states, never remaining in one school for longer than one year. For a few years, she lived with her two older siblings in an unrelated resource home, until she was moved to another unrelated resource home two hours away at the request of her resource mother. She was subsequently moved two more times to unrelated resource homes. She lives apart from all members of her family. Despite her educational setbacks related to housing instability, she has challenged herself and has developed a love for reading and school.

Adara has developed a love for reading and school, making her excited about the upcoming school year. Although this will be her third school in the last two years, she eagerly anticipates making new friends and building relationships with the staff. To make her first day even more special, she hopes to have a trendy, artsy backpack to carry her books and supplies. She will feel so much more confident walking into her new school with this bag on her back!
