Zimiya has faced numerous challenges, having been in and out of care for her entire life. By the time she turned 18 and was in her senior year of high school, she found herself confronting the additional difficulties of her siblings being in custody. To ensure their safety and well-being, Zimiya worked tirelessly, often putting in over 60 hours a week. Despite all of her obstacles, Zimiya persevered and managed to save enough money to purchase a small house. With determination and a sense of responsibility, she took custody of her three teenage siblings, striving to create a stable environment for them. She actively collaborates with community supports to navigate the complexities of parenting and maintaining a household. Zimiya's dedication is evident as she commits herself to providing for her siblings and fostering a sense of stability in their lives.

Zimiya just finished high school this summer and is excited to start college courses to explore new career options. Right now, she’s caring for her three siblings, two of whom have serious disabilities, and she works full-time to support her family. With her busy life, Zimiya needs a little help accessing online education. Her wish is for a laptop to help her study whenever she has some free time. She’s dedicated to improving her education and finding better job opportunities, and any support would really make a difference for her.
