She has been in the foster care system for many years and has shown incredible strength in the face of life’s challenges. Alyssa is passionate about helping others and has a unique career goal; she plans to attend college to study mortuary science. Her interest in this field reflects her deep sense of empathy and desire to provide comfort to families during difficult times.
Alyssa is about to start her senior year of high school, which is a big deal for her. Unlike most of her classmates, she has spent her life in foster care, and getting new clothes and shoes for the first day of school has never been something she could count on. This year, she really hopes to get a pair of Uggs for warmth, comfort, and a feeling of belonging amongst her peers. Waiting for the bus in the cold mornings can be uncomfortable, and the soft lining of the shoes would help keep her feet warm. More than that, they’d help her feel more confident and stylish.
