Kadija is living in a foster home after experiencing many hardships. She is a bright young lady with aspirations of becoming a nurse. Although she misses her family deeply, she hopes to help them in any way she can once she is able. Kadija is currently thriving in her foster care placement and making great adjustments to her new area and friendships. Whenever she gets the chance, she shares her passion for arts and crafts.

Kadija is doing well in her foster care placement and has adjusted nicely to her new surroundings and her foster sisters. The school year has begun, and she is enjoying her new school, where she likes her teachers and is making new friends. However, the 45-minute walk to and from school, while carrying a heavy backpack, is putting strain on her long-injured back. To ease this issue, Kadija hopes to receive an electronic scooter that would help reduce the pressure on her back during her daily commute. Kadija is optimistic that with an electronic scooter, she will not only alleviate her back pain but also have more energy to engage in activities with her foster sisters and explore her new community.
