Luna is a bright student who loves horror films and ghost stories. She lived in foster care because her mother was experiencing domestic violence, but she has recently returned to her mom, who has been struggling with homelessness for the past year. The Children's Institute is helping them by providing housing and therapy resources.

Luna is in need of a new pair of shoes for school, as her current ones are worn out. Unfortunately, her mother is unable to provide her with new clothes or shoes at this time due to financial difficulties. Luna hopes that a new pair of shoes will boost her self-esteem and help her feel more confident at school.
