Amarie isn’t a stranger to foster care. She has been in and out of the system three times. Substance abuse is a recurring issue in her family. Amarie doesn’t let it hold her back. She’s enjoying freedom in her new placement. She’s working hard at her part-time job.

Amarie is looking forward to the up coming school year. She has her list of classes and is excited to learn some amazing subjects. As she prepares to head back, she wants a pair of new Crocs. She prefers these to sneakers because they are more comfortable. She picked plain black so they go with everything.
