Zy is very excited about all the new experiences life has to offer. As a first-generation college student, she is motivated to break generational barriers. Zy grew up in foster care and later moved to her aunt's home. Her upbringing was tough and had many challenges, but she persevered through every obstacle she faced. Outside of school, Zy has a part-time job that she has loved for the past two years, and she enjoys playing basketball. While it can be difficult to manage both work and school, she makes it work.

As Zy embarks on her college journey, she finds herself wishing for a mini iPad to assist with her studies. This would serve as a valuable tool for note-taking and completing assignments, ensuring she stays organized and excels academically. While Zy has always prided herself on her independence, she’s now discovering the importance of asking for help when needed, especially as she navigates this new chapter that holds the key to her future success.
