Jazlin has experienced significant trauma in her life. Jazlin loves to hang out with her friends, loves fashion, and wants to go into cosmetology. Jazlin used to want to be a vet but feels that she would not be able to handle having to euthanize animals, so she has shifted her focus. She is also very interested in childhood development.

Jazlin is in her final year of high school and has been working hard to develop the skills she needs for independent living as an adult. She actively participates in various school activities and is achieving strong academic results. Jazlin feels a deep emotional connection with her resource family and is contemplating the possibility of staying in their home after she turns 18. This year marks an important milestone for her, as she also hopes to obtain her driver's license, and she is seeking funding for an online driver's education course to help make that dream a reality.
