Mia is a gentle and kind young woman who loves making others feel welcome. She possesses a strong, quiet spirit that has helped her navigate every challenge since aging out of foster care. Mia enjoys making jewelry and spending time with friends. She lost her mother when she was 6 years old which is how she ended up in the foster care system. She is now a mother herself, and she is filled with excitement about giving her daughter the life she wasn’t able to have while growing up.

Mia has recently completed her Associate's Degree at community college and is now gearing up to attend NC Central this fall with a full-time schedule. Living and working out of town, she faces the challenge of commuting to campus for her classes while her 3-year-old is in daycare back in their hometown. This not only adds to her gas expenses but also results in a loss of two workdays each week due to her in-person class schedule. As a result, her income is decreasing while her costs are significantly rising during this transition. Any assistance to help offset her gas expenses would be greatly appreciated. This wish has been divided up so that Mia can have help for a few fill-ups. This is wish 2 of 2.
